August 2010 – Pittsburgh - Maher Duessel was named one of the Best Places to Work in Southwestern Pennsylvania by the Pittsburgh Business Times for the fifth year in a row.

June 2010 – Pittsburgh - Partner and Vice-President Elizabeth Krisher, CPA, CGFM was elected President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for 2010-2011.

May 2010 – Pittsburgh - Managers Jeffrey Kent, CPA  and Brian McCall, CPA were selected for the 2010-2011 40 Under 40: PICPA Members to Watch class, an honor given for “commitment to the profession” and “active participation in PICPA activities.”

May 2010 - Pittsburgh - The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations will present Standards for Excellence – Pass to Excellence on June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Duquesne University.  6.5 CFRE credits are available. 

March 2010 – Pittsburgh - Diane Edelstein, CPA was one of sixteen individuals nationally who received recognition in the 2009 AICPA Government Auditing Standards and Circular A-133 Audits Audit Guide for her volunteer efforts. “The AICPA gratefully acknowledges those who reviewed drafts of the conforming changes to this guide.”

September 2009 – Pittsburgh - The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) announced the appointment of Robert Lent, CPA, CFE, CGFM as a member of the State and Local Government Expert Panel. All members of the State and Local Government Expert Panel have an in-depth knowledge of state and local government financial reporting and audits and are highly-regarded as experts in the field.

July 2009 - Harrisburg - Maher Duessel, a regional non-profit and government accounting firm announced today it has relocated its downtown Harrisburg office to the new office complex, The Quandel Building, at 3003 N. Front Street to accommodate the continual growth of the firm’s practice.
