IRS Issues 990 Changes
The IRS has issued a draft of the Redesigned Form 990 for Tax Year 2008. December 31, 2008 and June 30, 2009 year ends will use this new form. The redesigned 990 form can be found here.
The first Forms 990-N (e-Postcards) are due in 2008 for tax years ending on or after December 31, 2007. Tax-exempt organizations whose gross receipts are normally $25,000 or less may be required to file this form.

Diane Edelstein named to the Executive Committee of the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center.
Diane Edelstein, a Maher Duessel partner, has recently been appointed to serve a three year term on the GAQC board. Membership requires Maher Duessel to commit to higher standards than non-members, provides additional resources to facilitate the audit process and allows the firm the opportunity to comment on and influence the adoption of proposed regulations.
