Maher Duessel announces July 2008 promotions:
Robert Belicose, Janet Jarecki, and Lisa Scanlon have been promoted to Managers.
Sena Mills and Katie Yates were promoted to Senior Accountants.

Maher Duessel is please to announce the following additions to our staff:
Sara Shirley, Lauren Johnson, Jessica Frazier, Aubrey Reed, Lindsay Dawson, Lesley-Anne Christy, Lindsey Burch, Renata Polakowski, and Farrell Zalar have been hired as Staff Accountants.

Elizabeth E. Krisher has been elected Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the 2008/2009 year.

Maher Duessel has been named as one of the 50 finalists in the 2008 Best Places to Work competition for the third year in a row. Rankings within the 50 finalists will be announced at the luncheon on October 15, 2008.

The Pittsburgh Business Times ranked Maher Duessel as one of the top 25 Best Places to Work in Western Pennsylvania in both 2007 and 2006.

Diane Edelstein named to the Executive Committee of the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center.
Diane Edelstein, a Maher Duessel partner, has recently been appointed to serve a three year term on the GAQC board. Membership requires Maher Duessel to commit to higher standards than non-members, provides additional resources to facilitate the audit process and allows the firm the opportunity to comment on and influence the adoption of proposed regulations.
