David P. Duessel, CPA, CGFM
President
dduessel@md-cpas.com
Dave has over 25 years of experience in public accounting. He began his career with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) and, in recognition of his technical abilities, was named Assistant Director of Accounting for Pittsburgh. He became the only non-partner in the 68-year history of the office to be trusted with this responsibility.
Dave and a fellow principal from Ernst & Young founded Maher Duessel in 1989 with the goal to provide high-caliber service to non-profit and public sector entities. Our mission statement “Pursuing the Profession While Promoting the Public Good” reflects the philosophy by which Dave continues to guide the firm. Dave continues to serve many of the firm’s clients personally as Engagement Partner.
